Lent has brought up a whole host of topics of conversations and this is just one.

I want to do a little study on how the body works, how it uses food, the best kinds of food, different foods and what they do for our body, etc.... As with all science material, I would prefer a Christian perspective but can work with anything.

Suggestions?

Eat Healthy, Feel Great by Dr. & Martha Sears and Christie Watts Kellie is very good. I love the approach it takes. The illustrations are very cute. I don't recall it having a Christian perspective per se but Dr. Sears is a Christian and I know nothing in it would be counter to that. It's all centered around a family learning together and eating together.

And I'm moving the thread to the Great Outdoors - crazy I know but that's where all the science topics are as well so it's a good fit there.

I second that book- it's great, even talks about breastfeeding being healthy for babies. My kids have really enjoyed it.
