Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We found an acorn on our nature walk today that had already sprouted. (I hope I'm using the words 'germinated' and 'sprouted' correctly.    ) What can we do with it?? I'd love the kids to be able to watch it growing. Is that possible? Won't the sprouted part have to be planted in the earth? TIA.

Yes, it will need to be planted or it will dry up soon. You can plant it temporarily in a glass jar against the side so you can still see it. That way it can be watered and protected but be visible as it changes. Once it grows a little more I would re-pot so it is surrounded by soil and then just watch it's above ground progress.
