Here's my commercial for the day  :
I am adding a new section at Homeschool Share for mini-units on animals. Each one will include a free lapbook. If you would like to contribute, you can do one of the following:
1. Create and submit a lapbook that centers on one animal. You need a minimum of 8 minit books. Answers must be provided (written out...not just web links to find answers).
OR
2. Submit 8 (or more) lessons centering on one animal, and HSS will create a lapbook for you! Lessons will be posted, so they must be paraphrased and sourced. No more than five web links per set of lessons.
I have the first one up (Eagles made for my K'er). It needs a bit of tweaking. I will have a few of the minit books revised and the pictures posted soon. :-)

I hope you will consider making a lapbook or writing a unit to share. If everyone shares one, we all end up with a LOT to choose from...and all for FREE!!
Also, please help me spread the word.

Would something like this Tiger Unit be what you're looking for??? It can be tweaked for sure, it was VERY basic and geared for a 4 yob

Yes, Meredith. That Tiger Lapbook looks so fun!!
I think I was unclear in my directions, though...
I meant that the submitter would need to submit
1. templates to be printed
or
2. lessons so that I can make the templates
Now...hmmm...your lapbook is already made and I think I could take it and make templates. Since it's preschool, it doesn't really need "LESSONS" if you kwim.
Can we get 8 different activities out of it... Hmm....do we even need to? Preschool stuff always falls under different guidelines.
Let me think...and I may have some questions for you. Your lapbooks always look like so much fun! 
And, yes, please keep thinking.
If there is any animal you want a pre-made lapbook for, you just need to write up 8 lessons...and I will do the rest. Of course, I'd be more than happy to take ideas for templates, too.

I'm sorry I didn't follow your guidelines  , you were very clear, I just thought I'd throw this one out for an option.
I also have an Owl preschool unit, wanna see it too???

Yes, Meredith, I'd love to see it.
I think preschool lapbooks will have different guidelines. I've really been thinking about the tiger lapbook, and I know I can make templates for what you've done. I'm just going to ask you to type up some tiger facts for me (if you would, please), and I think I could get the tiger one done in under an hour.

Working on this Ami, in the meantime here's the Owl Lapbook It is based on Owl Moon, but for a preschooler, I think he did pretty good
