Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi There,

I have the Beautiful Feet geography guides for the Holling books. BUT my reluctant reader son wants to read Pagoo. My other son is doing Minn of MIssissippi. I have the map for that book. But I'd like to do something similar with maps for Pagoo.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a website that would help? Has anyone done this before?

Thanks for any suggestions?

Okay, I've just looked through Pagoo and see that this book has more of a science bent than a geography bent!

I'm embarrassed--I should have looked through the book first!

I'd still like to give my son some simple assignments to make the most of this book. Has anyone already read this book with their children? Any ideas?

Ana,

There are tidal pool study ideas on this thread, and Theresa's son, Superboy, made the cutest Pagoo book last year. Theresa's kids also used Pagoo for nature journal entries and more.

Janette, I see you beat me to it!
Pagoo was and is one of our favorite books we've ever studied. In fact, when we went to Alaska and explored the tidepools this summer there were many hermit crabs, and JBug kept exclaiming "Look at all the Pagoos!" Needless to say, it made quite an impression.
