I am planning a few summer "camps" for the kids...fun topics to read about and play around with and go on a few rabbit trails. They offered robots as a fun idea. Can you guys make some suggestions for reading for various age levels? Any other fun ideas? So for I thought we would
--choose a task you would want to have a robot to do for you, draw that robot
--build robots from legos, magnetix, other materials
--read about robots, the science of robotics, and new technology in the field
--turn each other into robots...foil, duct tape, paper towel tubes, plastic cups all free for the making!
--maybe a field trip to a factory of some type where we could see some uses of robtics in action? Any other field trip ideas?
Anyway, suggestions welcome!

Do you have a Discovery Center in your area?? That would be a great resource for something like your Robot study. I would definately do a library request for books related to robotics, and I love your idea of touring a robot automated factory!!

I'm sure you'll get more ideas!
