Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are in love with these books. We started off with his bird book for children and it was simply wonderful. My boys learned to identify all of the birds that come to our feeder, nesting habits, and some of bird behaviors. We moved on to his books of animal stories (he has written over 150 books). The books are nature stories with lots of information about the animals and often a bit of a moral. I bought many of them from Rainbow Resource for around $1 each. These books are just perfect for the K-3 aged children. I have never been as nagged to finish a book.

some of the stories can be found online. Here is one excerpt from the TBSociety   website

Mary,
We have finished several of those stories also. They are great! I found 2 of the bird books at thrift stores; I should get those out thise week. One thing we did that everyone enjoyed was watercolor copies of bird illustrations. The kids all did wonderful paintings. This book would work great for that!

God bless,
Gwen in Denver

Thanks, Gwen, for the suggestion!

I have been contemplating unschooling and labbooks and today my 7 year old asked if we could make a lapboard (he didn't use the term) for these stories. These books have made such and impression on them.
