Dear Friends,
Remember Kelsey, who spent so long in the hospital and is still recovering from an as-yet-undiagnosed medical problem? Her mom went into pre-term labor today and is in the hospital. She is not yet 30 weeks along. Please pray that they can stop the labor. This poor family has been through SO MUCH these past few months!

An update and a correction:
Kelsey's mom wasn't actually in preterm labor yet. She was bleeding and went into the hospital for that and they found that the placenta is very poorly placed and could cause complications. Preterm labor was a real concern, but didn't actually happen, although she was experiencing contractions.
They discharged her today and are hopeful that things will self-correct as her uterus continues to expand these next 10 weeks. Thanks so much for your prayers!

Kelsey's mom needs prayers right now. I just got this update:
She woke up hemorraging this morning and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors have determined to keep her and baby (in utero) there at the hospital until she reaches 34 weeks gestation. She has had such a loss of blood that the baby may not be receiving enough oxygen. The doctors are closely monitoring the baby's condition and should the baby show any signs of distress, they will deliver it C-section. Doctors are administering steroids to "jump start" the baby's lungs, just in case. They estimate the babies weight at about four pounds.

Kelsey's mom delivered a baby girl by c-section this past Friday. The baby was a few months early and is under 4 lbs, but is doing well overall. She has help with breathing through a c-pap and has a feeding tube. Please join me in praying that their little one grows strong and healthy and can join her family at home soon. Thanks for the prayers!

I thought I'd give a final update on Kelsey's baby sister. She finally got to go home a little over a week ago and things are going well. The family is together at home for the first time in many months. Thank you for all your prayers!
