The mother of a 4 yr old girl and 1.5 yr old boy died suddenly Thursday night while putting her kids to bed. It was instant -- they think a blood vessel burst in her brain. Her husband heard a thump upstairs and when he went up to see what had happened she was dead on the floor of her kids' room. The little ones were right there when it happened.

I cannot stop thinking about this. The mother was not close to me, although before my baby was born the little girl was in the primary class where I assisted at a montessori school. I saw her every day. She was the dearest sweetest little blond girl and I loved her. I met the mother once and she was warm and generous. They are not Catholic, and I don't even know if they are Christian -- so would you all please pray?

I keep seeing the little girl's face in my mind, though i haven't see her in a year. I feel called to bring this intention to you all and your beautiful strong prayers to pray for her and her father and brother. My heart is aching for them. God's ways are so hard to understand. Thank you so much.

Wow. We just buried a friend today who also died quite suddenly. She was a mother of six and was expecting her 7th this month. The baby did not survive either. I will hold this family in my prayers. How devastating.
