Steve's been working graveyards - 5pm-5am.
The weather is bad here, too - okay, it's not Minnesota or New England   , but it's bad for here.
If you think of it, will you offer a prayer for him.
I have this overwhelming sense to ask you for prayers tonight....

I will think of him during my evening Rosary. I really hate that night shift. Court didn't do it much, but I never felt comfortable for him or me when he was gone all night.

Praying for Steve tonight.
I always feel so relieved when my dh's car comes driving up at night. I hate it when he works overtime (until 3am) b/c I just can't stay up that late.
Anyway, I am familiar with the anxiety you're feeling!

Thank you so much ladies....
I don't know if I'm abnormal (no comments here Chari  ) but I just don't sleep as well when dh is not home.
I woke this morning around 4:15 and finally called him around 4:25. I tried for 10 minutes and I couldn't reach him - of course, then, my wonderful imagination kicks into gear so I'm trying to supress that and be calm.
I'm repeating the prayer, "Jesus, I trust in You...." over and over and I'm calm and I try one more time.
Steve answered.
He finished his shift at 2:30am and had been sleeping in his truck since.
Ok, so how was I supposed to know? 
I am praying fervently for a different job - even though I'm grateful for this one and it is forcing me to grow (up) in ways I didn't realize I needed....
But I'm still going to pray.
There's just something about the security of having your dh home at night.
