I should have brought this here sooner - you all are such powerful prayer warriors!
There is a little girl in my homeschool group. She is the youngest of 10 children. She was born with a deformed heart. It was the usual thing- they found it on sonogram, told mom to abort which she refused. Then they told her she would die after birth - she didn't. Then to confound everyone, she overcame every health obstacle to make it to her second birthday! But she was always blue, always short of breath, and would never be able to have a normal life with longevity without another open heart procedure. This time, they reconstructed her heart to give her theusual four heart chambers.
Her surgery was January 16 and it has been touch and go since then.
The family is separated as they are from Ohio and Frankie's surgery was in Ann Arbor Michigan. As you can imagine this has been difficult on all of them.
Frankie now is fighting an infection and kidney failure.
Any prayers, rosaries, or other offerings you could make on this girl's behalf would be very appreciated!Here's her web site

Oh dear. Praying!
My neighbour's dd (my dd's best friend) had a similar story and wasn't expected to survive birth. She is now twelve and doing well. Her elder brother also had a catastrophic heart defect and survived two major surgeries as a baby followed by months in intensive care with multiple organ failure. He is now a healthy fifteen year old.
God willing the outcome for this little girl will be as good.

Oh, Elena, thank you for letting us know! We are partial to praying for babies with heart defects in our home........we have one of our own.
Let the family know that Saint John of God is the patron saint of heart patients!
Will be checking out her website and praying for all of them in our daily Saint John of God prayers.
