see my brother right now....we are meeting at a restaurant.

We haven't seen him in about 5 years....

I don't want to post more about the struggles I have with him I would just like to ask for prayers that everything goes well.

I've been nervous.

Thanks for the prayers, everyone.

The visit went well. He brought his girlfriend for us to meet and she really is a doll, but my brother did not look well - extremely skinny.

I'm concerned for where he is spiritually and I just feel very down after this.

My family is so broken and disjointed.

I know I can't worry but with my dh out of town tonight and no break in awhile, I'm feeling teary and sad.

Maria, you're a great sister to be so concerned and loving.

I think everyone can relate to the "broken family" thing...we're all human, after all, and we're looking to Jesus and Mary to help us to get to Heaven.

Your brother has your prayers (and ours, obviously) to help him Heavenward when he's ready. It's great that you were able to meet with him and I'm sure he feels your love and concern.

I know it's hard to face all this when dh is gone (oh, how I know it!), but you're not alone...and you're surrounded by prayer and good wishes from all of us here.

I know that my brother is in God's hands. I really look at children of divorce - no matter their age - as those orphans and fatherless that Our Lord addresses as "His."

What saddens me is that I can see my brother's pain...

You have not been to the Blue Couch since Saint Joseph's feast day TWO years ago this March!

Can you and the kids come up for a few days when hubby is on the road????? You will be less lonely that way......it is only 3.5 hours. Come play in the snow (IF we ever get any.......yikes!)!

A free vacation home...a place to sleep (blue couch ) and good food to eat.......what more could you ask for?
