Please pray for Brad. He is a ten-year-old boy. He and his family are friends with my eldest sister and her family. On Sunday, Brad's family took him to the emergency room. He had been complaining about a sore stomach for a couple of days and it felt mushy. The doctors immediately suspected cancer. Yesterday, Monday, the family received the results of the tests. Brad has Burkitt's Lymphoma (the fastest spreading cancer). He started chemotherapy immediately. At some point yesterday, Brad's kidneys failed and the doctors started dialysis. My sister called about 2 hours ago to ask for increased prayers for Brad and his family. Brad has been placed on a machine to keep his heart going. Please, please pray for Brad and his family. A few days ago, Brad was playing in the snow. His family was told on Monday not to leave the hospital, as Brad could die anytime.

That is horrible. I am so sorry to hear this. How in an instant your life can change. We will offer up our morning Rosary for him and his family.

This is a parent's worst nightmare, and my heart really goes out to them. I will pray for Brad and his family. May they know the peace and healing of Jesus.

Please continue to pray for a miracle!
Thank you for everyone's prayers. I just got off the phone with my sister. The doctors were able to stabilize Brad's heart last night which means that the doctors should be able to begin his chemotherapy again. Brad is obviously in the ICU.

Praying for a miracle! Brad's story is a timely reminder for me to not take my time with my children for granted. God be near his parents during this very difficult time.
