Please say a small prayer this headache won't last too long. It's been months since I had one. It's on the right side of my head and neck, and lying down makes it worse. Bending over is torture.

We have a family gathering today for my mom's birthday. I need to be able to function, especially around my sibblings, who blame everything on our lifestyle, homeschooling, 6 kids, the usual.

Praying Ruth! And recommending a warm bath with eucalyptpus, 800 mg of motrin (not on an empty stomach), and lemon balm tea. All were recommended to me and I did them all together. I'll never know what worked, but the combination and some sleep really did take the edge off.

Dear Ruth

I am praying for you. I have had the most awful headaches recently and know how debilitating they are. I second Elizabeth's suggestions (I could not do the Motrin but did the rest) - also face towels dipped in hot water and lavender oil on your head and neck. Praying for a peaceful family gathering too.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. They definately helped tremendously. I left after I posted this, so I wasn't able to do anything about it, but I definately felt your prayers. The headache got better. It was more annoying than anything else. As long as I didn't talk too much, it was bearable. On a level of 1-10, it's been about a 3 since I got home. I had a cup of hot cocoa at my mom's and that helped. My brothers kept qiuet for the most part.

Thank you again for your kind prayers and advice. I'm going to get some rest now. I'll keep you all in my prayers.
