Dear Neice has her asthma under control with 3-4 nebulizer treatments a day.
Her pain level is down from a 9 to a 5 and worse in the evening.
She is still having physical therapy 2 times a week and my sister says that the home exercises take 2 1/2 hours total , spread throughout the day.
The docs have no idea why her back is not supporting her so strenghtening her abdominals is the course of treatment. They do know she had an infection, the source is not known.
She will be very dissapointed when she cannot play in her Upward basketball team this week, but her back cannot take more than short walks. She will start swimming again this week. Hopefully the exercises and swimming will help her regin her posture and normal walking gait.

Injection went well and scan did not show any skelatal damage, a special concern with her level of steroid use to control the allergies.
They are now working with a muscular cause and will have physical therapy with waking hourly exercises to strengthen snd stretch. In 2 weeks they will reevaluate and hopefully she will be walking well and have less pain

My niece, the one whom I have asked prayers in the past for, is having a bone scan to help diagnosis a new orthopedic problem.
She is very scared about the procedure, trying to walk into the hospital and especially the dye injection (during her ER visit last week they had trouble drawing blood and putting in the IV).Hopefully Emla does not contain ingredients that she is allergic to so she has some pain relief.
Pray also for my sister, she is weary and very much needs a diagnosis so she can learn about the new challenge and for peace of mind.
