My 9yo dd Nastia was born with strabismus. Last May, she had surgery on both eyes to correct it. Since then, she's been experiencing double vision. (and the sweet thing never complains!) Tomorrow they will redo the surgery on her left eye.
Please pray for her and for her surgeon. We're hoping and praying this surgery will correct her vision, so that she won't have to undergo it yet again. This time around she's anxious, knowing the pain that it will entail.
We have to be at the hospital in less than 6 hrs...so I'd better get to bed! Thanks so much for your prayers.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I know they helped because Nastia was very calm the entire morning, up until the anesthesiologist put the mask over her face. It was so hard when she woke up. My brave little warrior who never complains sobbed in and out of her grogginess. It was obvious she was in a lot of pain, and I felt so utterly helpless. All I could do was stroke her head, speak soothing words, and pray. And pray. And pray. I couldn't help thinking of my friend Theresa, Betsy's mom, and all of you women whose children have suffered with serious illness. God bless you all for the crosses you have carried.
After the initial hour of sobbing, she fell asleep, and she's been such a trooper since then. We just returned from her follow-up appointment---it was quite reassuring. We won't be absolutely certain for a few weeks, but it looks like the surgery was successful. She is no longer seeing double (as she has been since June!) and notices a big difference in her vision already.  I'm so thankful.
Thank you again for your friendship and faithful prayer support.
