Please would you pray for my uncle in London who has been admitted today for some very serious form of pneumonia - he is in his 70's and very fragile. I am not sure he is expected to survive. Despite poor health he managed to visit us here in Virginia in the summer - and he has been so patient with all his sufferings.
Also another prayer request - we found out yesterday that someone hacked/stole our credit card number and charged some numbers. We are so fussy with our credit - only one credit card - and I check balances weekly. Anyway our card is cancelled - lucky I have done all my Christmas shopping - quite liberating not to have another one for 10 days! Please pray that the credit card company will sort it out - I feel almost violated - cannot understand how somebody could have stolen it as I am so fussy about ordering online etc.
Thank you all.

Praying for your uncle!
It is really scary when stuff like that happens with your credit! I will pray that it all gets straightened out quickly and without causing you stress.
2 years after we moved to PA from AZ, someone in AZ got hold of my BofA Debit/Credit card number (an account I rarely used) and used it at a hotel. Luckily I checked my bank balance THAT day (can you say Guardian Angel whispers???). The account was way overdrawn so I knew something wasn't right. I asked where the charge was made, called the hotel, and found out they were still there! The hotel called the police but the people disappeared before they arrived. They eventually caught them and BofA was great about putting the money back immediately.
What I didn't understand was how they were able to charge a room without a physical card - and they knew my name, not just my card number. Very scary!!
Blessings,
Krisann

Oh Marilyn, will pray!
Our credit card was stolen once while we were on vacation!!! We had to have my parents wire us money to pay for our hotel. It was awful.

Marilyn,
This just happened to us, too! The bank fraud person I talked with said that he'd also had this experience. He thought that one of two things happened. Either someone who processed a transaction while we were in Europe took the data and used it (a rental car person or someone else at Ramstein AB, as we paid cash for everything off base), or someone with a cell phone camera photographed my card while I was buying something here. Scary. I'd guess that pretty soon cards will have to have some new layer of security because it's so easy to get the info and use it to buy things online.
I'm praying for your intentions today!

Praying!
Please keep us updated about your Uncle.
My brother was the victim of theft indenity. He even called the person's number, and they answered as him. I can't post what he said to the person, but it was classic. Prayers for a quick resolution.

Praying, Marilyn!
I had my identity stolen once as well, before I even activated the card if you can believe it!!! The person went shopping online and forgot to change the shipping address so I received a bunch of cool stuff that I thought was from my new husband. I met him at the door - Oh Honey! A new digital camera, you're so sweet! - the poor guy was clueless. The companies didn't want to pay return shipping and BofA covered all the monetary expenses so it was a neat Christmas that year!
Hope it turns out as well for you, Marilyn!

Thank you for your prayers.
My uncle is stable - though still in the ICU. My aunt says he is very peaceful and is ready to pass on if the time has come.
We are still waiting to sort out the cc thing - the cc company has assured us that all we need is a notarized statement re the charges - we are waiting for the forms. I just thank God that I caught it so early.
