Here's a doozy -- please pray that I can find my old laptop. My husband had a temper tantrum about our messy spare room a few weeks ago and threw away everything that wasn't nailed down. When I realized my laptop had been in there, he said he was pretty sure he'd thrown in in a trash bag, but when we searched the bags, it wasn't there. We held back one bag for closer inspection and I haven't had time to sort through it yet.
Please pray that we find it. My son's baby pictures up to about 14 months old are on there, and they are not backed up. I need that hard drive!

Hi Philothea! I've moved your post to its own topic to ensure quick attention. That, and, I'm praying! I've been the one in my family who has gone through a "we're getting rid of it all!" thing. I'm very sympathetic.

I once threw away the battery to my dh's drill! He'd left it on the kitchen counter that I was trying to clean and I'd asked him several times to put it away.
I finally got frustrated and put it on the top of the trash so that when he threw something away he'd see it and put it away.
Well, the plan backfired. He didn't see it, I forgot about it and it got canned - permanently.
Oh, the stories my dc will be able to tell to their children.
Anyway, I'll pray.

I'm praying that you find it! We lost all our pix of our daughter's first year or two when our computer got a virus that wiped us out

Searched the trash bag -- it's not there.
Please pray for a miracle -- my house is just messy enough that I hold some hope that it could be hiding underneath something, somewhere in one of our extra rooms. I would be really sad if we lost all those pictures.
Noreen, I am so sorry this happened to you, too. It is an awful feeling. Somehow, knowing I'm not alone mkes me feel like not SUCH a horrible mother, though, so thank you for commiserating.
