this morning a young man entered his old school and began firing shots......He must have been planning this for a very long time.
There are several injured but no life threatening injuries, except for the young man who took his own life.

Our relatively small town (35,000) is in a state of shock. It is not over yet, because bombs are still in the school....

Our town is middle class with no bad neighborhoods, no big problems. People want to stay here to raise a family...

It can happen anywhere.

Everyone is saying to me, "I thought this only happened in America!"

Please pray for the recovery - physical and spiritual - of all involved.

and for the tortured soul of the assailant.

If dd1 would not have gotten a Gymnasium referral she would be attending this school now.   Some classmates from her old grade school do attend this school. It is only 1 mile away from our house.

I am so thankful that my dc did not have to expierience this tragedy first hand. I can't imagine the anguish.
