Hi Friends,
I’m asking for prayer for the congregation and the youth who will be missing a priest who passed away suddenly this afternoon form our diocese. Father Gary was in his 50’s, I believe. I am so conflicted right now, and could use prayer myself.
Marty worked for Father Gary at St. Benedict’s Church, and we left the church because he was extremely difficult to work for, as he wouldn’t communicate with Marty. He’s the reason we left that parish, and joined a new one, because he was unorthodox, and we had to undo the untruths he’d teach in his homilies after church with the kids. It was very difficult for us, and we just had no choice after trying for as long as we could to make it work. In fact, since then, I’ve been praying and praying for him, every time I go by the church, and whenever he comes to mind. So this is very difficult, and a huge shock for me, and for all of us here in Buffalo, as he was very young, and this was very sudden.
Father Gary went for a test this morning, had a reaction, was sent to the hospital, and died this afternoon. They’re not exactly sure what the cause was, but think it was heart related. He worked with the youth of the diocese, and I know many people will be shocked, and will go through a difficult time with his passing, and could use your prayers.
I just feel badly, because the last time we saw Father Gary, we were getting ice cream this summer. He doesn’t even wear his priest clothes, because he doesn’t want people to know he’s a priest (ugh), and he didn’t even say hi to us when we tried to look at him, and get his attention. :o( We never left with angry words, or with any animosity whatsoever, but he just didn’t like us for whatever reason, which we never really understood, and I just felt badly that he wouldn’t even say hello to us, it made the kids kind of frustrated, and me kind of sad. 
I’m just in shock!

I will pray for Father Gary as well as for the parishoners at his church.
