Thank you all for your prayers! I was literally running out the door to the ER when I typed in that message.
We just got back from the hospital. We spent a long night in the ER, and then she was admitted to a room for observation because a)her pain didn't seem to be getting any worse, but b)it wasn't clear from all the tests and the CAT scan that she did *not* have appendicitis.
After getting some antibiotics on IV, she seemed better this morning, though, so they think her pain came mainly from swollen lymph nodes due to a virus or infection. So no surgery!!  She was a very relieved little girl. But she stuck through it all like a real trooper. Didn't even flinch when they drew blood and put in the IV. I told her that she was getting lots of prayers for recovery, and she seemed pleased by that. 
If the pain's not gone by tomorrow, we're supposed to have the doctor look at her again, but she's looking a lot perkier this afternoon so I'm hopeful.
