We just got back from our adoption agent's house and found out we have our Travel Approval!!!!  And....we may be leaving in 2 1/2 weeks to bring out daughter home from China!!!!
 Pinch me because I can't believe this is really happening!!!
Our whole family is so thankful for all the prayers you've offered for us. God bless you all!

This is so exciting! We'll pray that all goes according to plan and that you have that little one soon!
The timing of these events for you and your post is interesting, as Sunday we are going to the Baptism of our friends' newest daughter whom they brought home from China in May.

Lisa,
It really is the best day when you know you will be traveling to your child. We adopted our daughter in Nov 04. She is our greatest blessing. You will be in our thoughts. Take care of yourself the next two weeks. The trip to China is harder than it appears. I had been to China two times when I was younger. Our adoption trip although joyous was exhausting.

I think I'm in labor.  We are leaving on October 11!!!!  We will receive our daughter forever in our arms on October 16th, have our consulate appointment on October 23rd and fly home on October 25th. I can't believe it!
Thank you, thank you for all the prayers and support.  
Please pray that Hannah will not be too afraid of us and that we will know how to help her through her fear and grief. That she will bond with us and for health for us all while traveling. My sister is coming with us too!

Wonderful news, Lisa. So October 16th is the day! It brings back good memories for me. I recall waiting for the minibus that was going to take us to meet our babies for the first time while the orphanage staff chatted about them, and my friend (who had two birth children) saying, "This is even more exciting than giving birth!"
