Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please pray for my friend. She is an evangelical Christian who had a tubal five years ago. She was not open to hearing the Church's teaching at the time, but is expressing deep sorrow at being unable to have any more children now. I was trying to decide the best way to bring up the possibility of a tubal reversal in a conversation earlier in the week. Today in the course of a different conversation it just came up. She shared a tear jerking story about how the medication she got before the tubal kept her from being able to articulate her desire to stop the procedure when she heard the doctor say that she had beautiful fallopian tubes. She realized it was a mistake then, but was unable to speak. I told her today that there are doctors who will do tubal reversals for cost and her eyes lit up with hope. I promised that I would find information for her. Please pray that her heart continues to open to this and pray that this might possibly open her heart to joining the fullness of the Church as well. I've found the One More Soul site and their resources. I found the book Open Embrace by Sam and Bethany Torade - a book about a Protestant couple rethinking contraception. I also discovered that Sam Torade is writing a series of books about the Theology of the Body that is supposed to be aimed at a Protestant audience. If anyone has any other resources that they think would be helpful, please e-mail me. Thank you for praying for my friend.
