Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Good morning ladies,
My husband is in need of prayers in a big way. He came home from work this morning (he's a paramedic/firefighter) and is deeply upset. He had a house fire last night that claimed the lives of 4 young children and their grandpa. My husband worked on the grandpa and one baby, but couldn't save them. Three other children were unable to be reached because the walls started to cave in. Please pray for the family of these children and the grandma that did survive. Also, please pray for my husband and his co-workers so that they have the strength to keep going. They are all very upset. It was horrific.

I just don't know what to do when he has bad calls like this. There just aren't words to say to make him feel better. It's just a very, very sad situation.

Give all of your babies an extra hug 'n kiss today.

Thank you ladies and God Bless,
Angela

Angela, we will be praying for Dave. Don't have wise words to say, but we are thankful for people like him who risk their lives in the service of others, and have to witness such heartbreaking tragedies. God bless him. And you for being his support. Keeping your family in our prayers.

Praying here.

I never really thought about how difficult that job could be. I mean, we all know it is physically demanding but no one really thinks about the emotional toll when they respond to situations such as this.

Praying for those who serve.

Blessings,
Krisann

Oh, Angela! How very sad! I know he knows it is not his *fault* that he wasn't able to save them, but he still feels so much pain. My dh is a doctor; he does research now, but I remember when he cared for patients and how hard it was on him when he lost one.

We'll be praying for the family of the fire victims and also for the firefighters and their families.

Peace,
Nancy

I'm so sorry for your husband. To be a father & not be able to save a baby much be terribly hard, beyond words. I will ask St Joseph's intercession for your husband.
