Friends, will you please pray for me and my family? Since our van accident, we have been "hit" with one thing after another. We are united as a family and being blessed in our suffering but we are also getting very worn out. I should have asked for prayers earlier but I kept thinking that "It will get better." I KNOW better...sometimes we are thrown weeks, months, even years of relentless suffering. In some way, I want to frame my attitude in a positive light...I was being hopeful rather than being in denial  .
Physically, the children are all back to 100% and my husband and I are down to seeing the Chiro. once every two weeks...woo hoo! Also, keep praying for Dave's employment...we could hear good news as soon as the end of this month.
Not trying to be vague but it would take reams of tedious posts to catch you up. But I'll share this one experience that sort of says it all. This past Monday, after weeks of pushing, a local woman who I have a work relationship, pushed me to the point where I actually lost my cool...nose to nose...in public. Sigh. No, I didn't say anything that needs to be unsaid...my requests that she treat me with respect were valid. No, I didn't yell or curse or use my karate skills on her (although I briefly let myself THINK about it.) No, although I'm a hot-head by nature, I can't remember the last time I lost my cool like this...years and years. Yes, I'm humbled. Yes, all sorts of good things are coming from it that will benefit her and others (God truly works in mysterious ways.) But ladies...and you all ARE ladies...I'm tired. Maybe you all have spoiled me with your courtesy and ability to deal with difficult issues with intelligence and kindness  .
So...although I feel like things are calming down...I'm catching my breath and finally getting smart. I'm asking for your prayers. And know that I pray for you everyday. In fact, I've been praying with more passion and devotion than usual lately  .

Thank you, friends. It's funny...aside from the accident, most of what we are dealing with is life as usual, just very rapid fire and with a lot of outside intrusion. Aren't we in the habit of letting all these little things go? Yet, when they pile up, "little things" can exhaust. Which, of course, is obvious...when one is not completely exhausted .
I'm praying for help to St. Therese now. As she so well knew, if these little things can exhaust and be near occasions of sin, they can also be a process to make us saints. I honestly DO feel like God is calling me to say "Yes!" more often, more readily, more deeply. Little things aren't so little after all. No wonder I need your prayers! Thank you, again.
I'm off to face the day! Have a wonderful weekend.
