Back from the midwife:
I'm 37 weeks and 5 days. Baby is HEAD DOWN and at -2 station. She doesn't think she'll turn. I'm 50% effaced and 3 centimeters dilated. We're good to go  !
That said, I am more anxious than I have ever been. I usually like labor and delivery. This time, I more than a little scared. The "rupture talk" was unnerving. And I've heard some scary birth stories in the last couple years.
Please pray for a healthy, happy, holy labor, delivery, and recovery.

I've been praying and will continue.
Let go and let God help you. Let go of ideas you may have about how it should go. It will be different, but it will be beautiful.
Don't be afraid, medicine is your friend (sounds corny, but take it from someone who learned that lesson  !).
Its completely out of your hands. . .

PS: John was born via c-section, all the rest of mine were born VBAC. Ruptures are virtually unheard of unless they use certain meds inserted vaginally to help thin the cervix (I think Cytotec (misopristol) is the one but I can't remember for sure). I was given pitocin with all but one (or was it two) of my VBAC's and it didn't cause any problems at all. Try not to worry about the minute possiblities and just focus on the positive things and remember, God is in control.
