DH and I want to start actively trying to conceive #2 this month, so I went and battled with Kaiser to have them give me my pap test early, "just in case."

Well, it came back atypical, so I go in for a thorough exam and biopsy next Wednesday the 13th.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PRAY! Intellectually, I know this is probably isn't a big deal, but it's still terribly scary for me. Please pray that I am cancer-free and healthy, and that my fertility will remain intact. I am only 25.

If anyone else has been through this, I'd love to hear how it went for you, too.

Don't Worry!
I worked myself up into a tissy after baby number 3- I had an atypical pap. I ended up having cryosurgery in the Dr's office. Basically he just froze the bad tissue and removed it. It took about 20 minutes and was no big deal. I went on to have 2 more children- so far ;)
I'll pray for your peace of mind, and for your Dr.

I had an atypical pap after a miscarriage between baby #3 and baby #4 and they retested and the next one came back normal. Just had another pap with pregnancy #5 and it came back normal too!

Thank you for the prayers. I'm feeling calmer about all of this, I did some reading and it really does seem like a pretty common, minor thing. Hopefully it will be nothing and we can get on with the babymaking!

I'm glad you're feeling calmer. I know it's hard to not worry, but this is routine, and until the second test comes back poorly, I wouldn't worry.

But I completely understand the exasperation on having to wait to try for another one. Patience I learn very slowly. Man proposes, God disposes!
