Hello Ladies (and Gentlemen... do we have any gentlemen other than Tim?)
My son John called this afternoon to let me know that he needs to have minor surgery on the 13th of September. 
The doctors originally thought he had a hernia but it turns out that it is a varicocele
From WebMD - "Varicocele is literally a varicose vein -- in this case, in the scrotum. Blood is supplied to and returned from the testes by vessels that run next to the spermatic cord in the scrotum. For reasons that aren't clear, blood flow back from the testes can become obstructed when valves in the veins malfunction. This causes the veins to become stretched, or varicose. It isn't a big deal right now, just uncomfortable, but untreated it can lead to complications including infertility.
I would appreciate it if you great people could say a prayer or two between now and the 13th.
