Hi all,
Could you pray for our dear homeschool friends family and their son Ben? Here's the email I received last night:
"I am asking you to please pray for Ben. His mental state has become much
worse, and obviously much more than allergies to red dye or the antibiotic
as we originally thought. We spent most of today at Peds, and may
soon end up with Pediatric Neurology. Amongst some of the
thoughts are that he had some serious physical ailment 2 mo. ago which left
psychological side effects...He hasn't really slept much for 4 nights, he
goes in and out of periods of being severely upset, agitated, hyper,
paranoid, can't focus, the list goes on. But he seems to be disconnecting
with reality more all the time.
Needless to say, we are pretty worried and bewildered. The Drs are pretty
bewildered and it was obvious to them what a change has occurred in Ben.
Please pray for healing for him and direction for how best to diagnose and
treat his problem."

An Update:
"Hello, Our Dear Friends in Christ,
Thank you for your prayers for Ben thus far.
Yesterday we went to see a Pediatric Neurologist. He's running a lot of tests to rule out various diseases/organs, etc. that could be causing Ben's brain to be malfunctioning. Some of the tests we had done are EEG, chest X-ray (for his cough), blood work. Today we hope to get the MRI done.
I can't say that I am really hopeful for any of these physical findings. The Dr. also thought his behavior was possible but unusual to be caused by any physical cause. That leaves psych. That's a really frightening and sad thought.
