I'm asking for prayers for our friend who is struggling with alcoholism and his wife and children who are dealing with it. My heart just breaks for this couple and their children at this time. Our friend has been in and out of rehab and outpatient services 5 or 6 times in the last year. I really feel it is a spiritual battle.

Please pray for the bondage of alcoholism to be broken and for healing in their family. Everyone is just so hurt.

Thank you so much for the prayers. Our friend's wife said she can feel the prayers working just by the way she is handling things. Our friend has seen that he needs to remove himself from the house for the children's sake.

Praying. This disease is a monster. I hope your friend has investigated Alanon. These groups can really help a person in an alcoholic situation see what is normal and what isn't. The meetings are for relatives and friends of the alcoholic.
