I received this message on the "Cathswap Chat" list today and thought it would be really great if we could send this young man some love.

It is not a hoax. The link in the letter takes you to the hospital website where he posts a blog type thing. (How is that for technical?

) There are photos and updates, etc.

Christopher Lindsey, our disbaled son, has been in the hospital going on 7
months in the ICU. Christopher has had to overcome many difficulties and
challenges throughout his life. These past many months have been marked with
many trials and tribulations. We are extremely thankful Christopher is still
with us. Keeping Christopher's spirits up during this difficult time has
been challenging. He has always been one of those people who has a smile on
their face. Christpoher turns 25 on July 31, 2006. He is a bit down that he
will have to spend his 25th birthday in the ICU. We have been brainstorming
ways to give Christopher some really extra brightness on this birthday.

I am asking as many people as possible to send Christopher a birthday card.
We want to see how many birthday cards we can collect for Christopher's
benefit. If you have friends, family, church members, co workers, who would
like to help out by doing a random act of kindness by sending Christopher a
birthday card, we know it would help Christopher feel special. Please feel
free to forward this email and information to as many people as possible. We
would like to see Christopher inundated with birthday cards! We know this
will really make him smile!!

evening. Christopher fought a courageous battle but the obstacles were too
great. He is at peace now with his Nanny and his Aunt Nellie.
