Please pray for a dear friend's husband who was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to his liver.(He has been given a max. of 5 years left to live.) He and his wife have four children ages 3,5,6,&10. They are overwhelmed with the suddeness of the disease, and need lots of prayer! St Pregrine pray for us! Thank you for your prayers.

My father died of colon cancer when I was 8 years old.  My mom was left with five children ages 8 to 18. My dad was a dairy farmer so money was a real issue.
I'll be offering very special prayers as I know the road on which she travels.

Thank you everyone! It is such a consolation to have your prayers during this difficult time. Tomorrow(Wed.)
in the afternoon (pacific time). He will be undergoing
a liver biopsy....he is only 44 ....and like Lisa's dad,
he is self-employed. ..so money is a issue here, too.

I will keep this father and his family in my prayers. This hits close to home. On March 1, my dad told us that he has had colon cancer for approximately 4 years (a doctor had dismissed his symptoms as stress related). He had a growth removed the middle of March and is currently undergoing his fourth round of chemotherapy. Kathleen, I will be storming Heaven for this father, as I am for mine.

Thank you all for your continued prayers! They have been a great support to this family! They can feel those prayers helping them through this crisis.
His name is Bruce, and like Christine's father, he has had this cancer for five years, without being detected.
Apparently,doctors do not test for colon cancer until
a later age.
I have printed out the novena to St Peregrine and we will start it today! Thank you, Christine! God bless you all!

Here is an update on Bruce.....
He will be going in for surgery on Wed. early am...so please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. The doctors are going to remove the rather
large tumor in his colon....the good news is, because of the location, he will not have to wear a "bag".
After he heals from this operation the plan at this time is to chemo and radiate the liver which has 3 cancer spots on it. It appears not to have spread to the lymph nodes...but the doctors are still saying 20%
chance of survival-5 years . Thank you for your prayers.
