My mil is undergoing major abdominal and exploratory surgery right now. Please pray for her, for a good outcome and recover, and for my dh. No need to post a reply, just a prayer would be a blessing!
update 6/24: I really appreciate your prayers, sisters. My mil is not doing well. They found extensive cancer which is inoperable and has metastasized. She had surgery last Friday and is still in the ICU. They have been unable to remove the ventilation tube and may give her a trach today. My dh is with her, but the rest ofus all have gone to Hawaii for my niece's wedding (it was supposed to be our first really decent family vacation in years). So the timing is very difficult. It's hard to enjoy the time here when I know she is so sick and may be very close to death. I wish I were with my husband, but then again maybe it's a gift that he has this time to be with his mom with no other distractions.
Anyway, we would appreciate any prayers you could send up, especially for her peace, recovery according to God's will, and a happy death I think she would especially want prayers through the intercession of Padre Pio, to whom she has a devotion.

Praying harder....
I have just gone through this and it's SOOOOO difficult. It was hard to be there and hard to be away and the uncertainty is so oppressive.
Praying that God's Will be done and peace will remain in your family during these difficult times. And, that you can enjoy Hawaii!!
