Today is my son's birthday. He turns 9 today. I hid his gift too well. I have no idea where I put it.

It's a waterproof first aid kit he has wanted for going on campouts.

9 huh? Umm call it a scavenger hunt and enlist his aid in finding it?

Now.. slow down and breathe and do something else for a few minutes so that you're not thinking about where it is at all..

For me it's like I get trapped in the same thinking pattern.. if I think about something else for a bit often I'll "all of a sudden" remember where it is.. or when I come back to the hunt I'll have different ideas.

JOdie, I love your scavenger hunt idea. I'll have to remember that for when this happens again...because I know it will happen again.

Probably very soon

All 5 of my kids birthdays are between now and May 1st.

Well my other too practical idea is that I have a gift list on the computer so I can remember what I got everyone (especially helpful at Christmas) and if I have to hide something other than my normal spot, I can jot down the location too.
