Everything worked out so well for Pilgrim, I have to ask for basically the same prayers. Our baby is currently at 38 weeks but very transverse. My doctor doesn't like me to go past my due date due to other concerns, but I'm not liking the c-section option after 10 regular deliveries. The doctor doesn't believe that there's much hope for baby to turn due to my stretched uterus, but I'm hopeful. Please pray that baby decides to move into the right position for a normal delivery. I would like labor to begin by itself, but will cope with an induction if baby cooperates by being in the right position. I'd really rather not have to have a c-section.

UPDATE 1:
I have an update for all those praying for us...
I went for my check-up this morning and found that the baby has moved into a good position! I can't believe it I guess I had an idea because there was a lot of strange and uncomfortable movement last night, but I am still having a hard time believing it.
Really, you must have powerful prayers! As of now, we are scheduled for induction on March 31, assuming things stay the way they are, though I'd prefer to go into labor myself sooner. I can't thank everyone enough for your prayers and words of encouragement; please keep them coming!

BABY!!!
James Peter was born Sunday morning at 2:38am. He came on his own without induction. Labor was reasonably quick . I am doing well, too. We are so very blessed, and I appreciate all the prayers!!! God heard and answered beyond all we hoped for.
Thanks so much for your prayers!
Christine

Praying for you!!! I was very nervous about her position, esp. as our last was born via c-section due to breech position, and gratefully she got into position nicely in the last days before the induction. I was so very , very grateful, as she had a LOT of room to flip-flop, and was riding very low and out front, almost making me look like it was with the twins. Praying hard for you, I know so well the emotions your facing! Oh, and praying for no c-section! On a note of hope, our twin boy flipped the night before they were born, with very little room next to his twin sister, so miracles can happen.
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, please pray for Them! (I prayed like crazy to her for twin boy to flip, and he did!)
St. Gerard, please pray for them!
St. Raymond Nonnatus, please pray for them!

Praying that through the intercession of St. Joseph, the baby will turn.
May God grant you a very happy birth!

Thank you all for the prayers!
Pilgrim, I especially appreciate the "voice of experience." You have given me some hope. My doctor didn't have much of that for me. Also, as for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal...I just put on my medal about a week or so ago. I had taken it off awhile ago as it always got caught in my scapular. I saw it there and put it on. I will certainly pray to her even more now
As far as I can tell, baby is still transverse...simultaneously kicking both hip bones of mine right now
Please keep the prayers coming!
I'll keep you posted...
God bless,
Christine

I just wanted to mention my babies can be transverse pretty late. My 9th baby was transverse pretty late, but then moved vertex. He weighed 9lbs 9oz at birth, and dh watched one night as he turned completely in a 360' while I was sleeping, when he was born Dr found a true knot in his cord (unfused and looked recent) and a second knot lassoed around his neck! So we don't feel that babies can't turn about in a "stretched uterus". I had EFM while in labour/giving birth there were no decels or mec. So he certainly didn't seem in distress. Sometimes babies can't turn for a reason, and in that case sections are sometimes best.
My 8th baby was also transverse breech until 38 weeks. Very transverse.
Hope baby turns soon.

Yes some babies simply wait until the last moment to get around to getting into position. But it's definitely possible. And some people will tell you how hard it is for a baby to move late in pregnancy.. I had one of mine switching position about 3 times a day with nothing more than a rumble and "swish".. right up to the day I went into labor (and she managed to end up head down).
And I think just like first babies will tend to engage sooner and hang out that way longer than subsequent babies.. second plus babies just can't be bothered to get into position early on.. and of course the fewer babies women have the more doctors only see first babies.. it skews their perspective
