Please pray, dear friends, that baby will get into the right position for vaginal delivery when it's time. She isn't fully engaged, and likes to lie transverse, semi-transverse a lot. After the c-section last time due to breech position, this makes me a little nervouse. I try to just be at peace, and say, "Thy will be done".
Now being 6 days overdue, it is already nerve-wracking enough waiting and praying labor will start on it's own, as you don't want to artificially induce with a VBAC, as you probably know. The doctor wanted to strip my membranes on Thurs, but with baby being quite transverse that day, I didn't feel it was a very good idea yet. Also, I've read that it can be painful or cause a lot of cramping, which didn't feel was good to face quite yet, being that both dh and I were feeling quite awful with a cold/flu, and I wanted us both better for the labor delivery.
So, prayers that we'll be able to have a vaginal delivery, the grace to endure, etc. are so very cherished. At times right now, a c-section doesn't sound so bad , but I know it's not what we want, and wouldn't actually help things, but be a harder recovery. I'm tired and worn out, and just need the grace to endure the rest of these days 'til baby makes her grand entrance.

Pilgrim, if you can, consider seeing a chiropractor. Some of the things they do can help baby get in a good position, and help labor get going.

Just seeing this and adding my prayers, Pilgrim! I've actually been thinking about you and wondering how you and baby were doing.
By the way, 3 of my VBACs were induced, and with attentive care and help in the labor room, we progressed just fine. Just throwing that out there...in case it becomes an option. Just wanted you to know that it can be done.
Sending and prayers - turn, baby, TURN!!!

Thanks Jodie, for the reminder. I tried those things with the last one, and it didn't work, but she was totally breech and turns out couldn't turn due to cord around her neck.
Jen, were you induced with the first VBAC, or was it after you'd already done one? I know their antsy with the first one, compared to after having had a successful VBAC. They don't really want to induce, but, if that's what it comes down to, then guess that's what we'll do. Thank you very much for that info, it puts my mind at ease. It's good to know heading into the possibility, as our later babies like to come extra well-done. Our last two have came 11 days late and 14 days late successively, and it gets the doctors nervous, especially since this is a new doctor to me. But, on a very positive note I am grateful and praise God that I'm liking her a lot, even more than my other doctors I've had so far.

Thanks, Jen!
They're checking my amniotic fluid levels today, and doing an NST. Baby's still enjoying here warm bath.
Appreciate so very much all the prayers!

Praying! Hang in there!
And I too was induced with *all* my VBACs (3 of 4 children). I had Pitocin with #s 2 and 4, because in both those cases my water broke, but labor didn't begin, and infection was a worry. The first Pitocin birth was rough (but no drugs); the last was really pretty mild, even after a long day on the pump.
#3 was 2 weeks overdue, and they broke my water. That was all it took to get things going. Of all my births, it was the nicest, quietest, most serene.
I didn't have an epidural with any of those births, though with #4, I had given myself permission to ask for one. As it turned out, the team was tied up with someone else, and by the time they came to do my epidural, I was fully dilated (which I hadn't realized, because to my mind, the contractions were only starting to get a little edgy), and I had the baby in two pushes.
So I was:
C-section (fetal distress)
VBAC: Pitocin (stalled labor)
VBAC: broke water (42 weeks)
VBAC: Pitocin (stalled labor)
The antsiest labor was #4 -- this was after the tide had turned about encouraging VBACS. When my #2 child was born, VBACs were all the thing, fortunately. And #3 was born in low-intervention England. When I came back to the US to have #4, it was hard to find an OB who would even consider letting me do a VBAC, even having had two successful ones previously. I ended up at a teaching hospital with a LOT of fetal monitoring (like, they wouldn't let me get out of bed, which was a drag), but for all that the birth went very smoothly.
Anyway, sending up a prayer for you right now.
Sally

The NST went great, she was active like crazy and and healthy as can be. The amniotic fluids are on the low side of normal, so the doctor said she wants to induce if I haven't gone into labor naturally by my appt. Wed. (today).
Sorry I haven't gotten to update, it's been a busy week here, and have been having lots of good contractions, just nothing staying consistent, but, it does make one tired, and night before last our 20 mo. old woke up throwing up just as I was getting ready to go back to bed after my bout with insomnia.
Thank you so much for the prayers, I'm trying to just be at peace and not project how things will go or worry. Dh dreads the labor part of things, as he hates to see me in pain. So prayers for him are appreciated, too. One of our first deliveries, I told him I was sorry for the anxiety he was experiencing, and one of the nurses asked why I was telling him I was sorry as I was the one in labor. I just smiled and told her because I love him and don't like to see him in distress either.
