Begging prayers for my 87 year old father. His name is Frank Nassetta. He went into the hospital for stomach surgery 11 days ago. He was quite healthy and vibrant - you'd never guess his age. Anyway, while the surgery went well, the post-op has been horrific. It has been one thing after another with the latest being leg pain that is so excruciating that it cannot be touched nor can he move with out intense pain. Please pray for him to be able to rest (he has only had snatches of sleep the entire time) and for him to have relief in his mouth and throat(he is on ng tube and not allowed to eat or drink - just ice chips and they do not offer enough relief.)

Please pass on this prayer request to any other lists/groups of which you know.

Thank you so much for the prayers.

So yesterday seemed like a decent day. He had to have 2 units of blood transfused, so you can see what a good day means lately, but he also had the ng tube removed and was allowed to drink a very small amount of clear liquids. The pain in his stomach was gone but the leg pain was still horrible. Anyway, today he is sleeping (which we have been hoping for) but so deeply and without waking to have his mouth relieved etc., that there is new concern. All blood work and vitals are fine but every day in the bed increases his risk of pneumonia.

Sorry to ramble so long - please continue to pray for him and for my mom.
