Hi Friends,
Peter, my twelve year old who has gone through 15 surgeries (he has a syndrome that has necessitated this), will be having another surgery Monday afternoon. They are reconstructing his ear drum with tissue from his scalp. It will be a 3-4 hour surgery that also includes removing some interesting looking moles from his scalp. (long history of skin ca in family, better be safe)
Please specifically pray for well maintained airway management. He has an extremely small airway, they will basically bronch him in order to intubate him. Peter had a trach until he was five, and at 12 years old now, his jaw growth has not kept up with his airway size, thus making his airway too small again. This will be addressed by future surgeries. 
I so appreciate your prayers, this will not be an easy one. He will stay overnight and get to go home if his airway behaves.

Update--surgery went really well. He is in some pain  but is hanging in there. Airway was completely managed well. The ENT thinks Peter has a good chance of regaining his hearing in that ear.
He is still in pain, hopefully we can get that under control soon. Please pray for good pain and nausea control! I am so grateful for your prayers. Hopefully he can leave for home in the morning.

Oh, friend!! Another surgery?
I am praying for Peter's airway management today...and for a successful outcome and uncomplicated recovery!!
You are such a good example to me of stalwart fidelity through the one-day-at-a-time of it all!!! Sending hugs. Wish I could pop into the waiting room with a decidedly-overpriced-frou-frou cup of coffee!!

Yeah.....and Lily is on Tuesday with her feeding tube. BUT that is a happy surgery, a victory of sorts, no more feeding tube for my big girl!!  
Thanks again for the prayers....Peter is sort of struggling tonight, we are at home and his neck is really bothering him. Poor guy.
