I am begging for prayers for conversion for my Mother. I just got "the call" last night that she is not doing well and we are all headed up for the 18 hour drive on Thursday.  We only found out she had cancer on July 17 so this all seem so sudden.
She had been away from the Church for a few years and it's been so hard to deal with. Her new dh is not Catholic, and I am guessing is quite anti-Catholic.
Please pray mightily for a death bed conversion. Please pray for wisdom for me to know how to handle this, ie if I should call a Priest and if how to handle the funeral arrangements, etc.
When my Dad died it brought me so much comfort to know that he had gone to confession before he got too bad and had received the last rites. Now, the thought of my Mothers eternal salvation brings me to tears, and I feel so guilty that I didn't do more before because of hard feelings.

UPDATE 1*****************
We are back home from our trip. The great news is that my Mom stabilized and in a pretty good condition, considering. The trip was long but worth it. My kids were able to see her a few times for a 10 mins or so ...so that was nice. I was able to spend all Saturday with her, which was very nice. I prayed the Rosary with hear and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Also, my Mom's cousin ended up calling the Priest before I got there! I don't know if she received the anointing of the sick (she didn't know and I couldn't get a straight answer) but she seemed open to him coming again or at least not hostile to the idea. I kicked my Brother in the butt to get over there and pray the Rosary with her! Thanks for everyones prayers. I could feel them has my children held everything together as as traveled and visited!
Update 10/14
My Mother will have her surgery tomorrow 10/15. She is very anxious and worried about it. I have a whole host of emotions because of the lack of information and her Faith life. She is stage 4, but they are doing the surgery anyway?
Anyways, please pray for God's Mercy on her soul and that she will return to Him before it's too late. I would love for her to receive the Anointing of the Sick and Confession before surgery, which if it happen would be a miracle! If you have a moment at 3pm please pray for her soul, and all the souls that are close to death and away from God's Love and Mercy!

Oh Betsy - how painful! You have my prayers, and I will definitely pray for a miracle conversion for your mom! I'm asking my brother, Chris, to pray for this intention because I've seen amazing things happen when I ask him to pray!

Betsy, I know you are probably not reading , but just in case...
Call the priest. You can explain the situation. Most priests are experienced in this kind if thing. All he needs to do is to stick his head in the door if she's at the hospital and ask. She could say no, but the offering is huge.
And you are her daughter. You are honoring your childhood which she prepared you, and honoring her tradition of Faith. It's not forcing your views, but just honoring her as a whole person with a whole history. Her current dh does not fit in that role. She was baptized into Life which was the beginning. The Anointing completes the journey into the new Life.
If you don't do it, the what ifs will bother you. Don't ask other people, just do it. And after that reason, you can also say you want your family to pray with the priest, too.
Praying continuously.

Thank you everyone for your prayers.
Jenn, thanks for that pep talk! I can be a bit of a bull in a china closet at times and I have grown more sensitive of this over the years. But, this is her salvation. I have faith that these prayers will give her the grace she needs to choose God---but if nothing else I need to make sure *I* did everything that I could in the situation.
We are almost packed and hopefully going to bed soon as we plan to leave at 4am tomorrow

Just got into a "fight" with my Brother over this.  My Mother was just admitted to the emergency room. My guess is she isn't leaving. She is heavily sudated. My Brother wants to "talk" to her and see if she wants a Priest. Really? You live in the same town as her and work at a Church. Call.The.Priest! Then he followed my heated repliy with his standard we can deal with this later.
Thanks for letting me vent. We are planning on getting a few hours sleep and leaving around 2-3am. We were planning on stopping in Indy over night, but now we might just take a long rest for dinner and continue.
Oh, and my Brother is in complete denial of what is going on because the Doctors are still "treating" her. I so want to live in his world!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Please forgive me if I don't sound charitable. I am exhausted with all of this.....

Oh my poor Friend....you have such a heavy load. I am so sorry. I’m praying with you as you carry this Cross. We will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet tonight and tomorrow....let us know. I can relate on so many levels....
