Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Everyone, back in December, I broke my finger, and tore ligaments in 3 fingers. While the bone has healed, the hand is still bruised and swollen AND still very painful. I'm in therapy 1x a week and see the specialist monthly. It's so stressful. I'm told it is not unusual for the type of injury and I'm still looking at a bare minimum of 6 months, for the most straight forward cases, which I am not.

I am self employed, and the appointments are straining for me. Please pray, I need my hand back and pain free. I can live with reduced mobility, and range of motion, but the pain and all the appointments are getting to be really stressful

Praying for you. My mom had this happen too and it was a long recovery. She didn't even break her fingers, but it was swelled for many months (from a fall) and she couldn't move it. She did physical therapy to get it working again.

Thanks everyone. I have re-injured it, and the swelling has doubled. We have had heavy snowfall, and returning home from hockey, I had to shovel to open the door. I have been warned no more than 10 lbs but I had to get in the house, dh was out of town, the older kids gone, and dd9 freezing in the wind and blowing snow. I was able to clear most of it just by pushing it off the porch, but the closest to the door had to be scooped, it was a blinding pain, this is a setback. Now I know why so little weight    Thankfully, I haven't needed painkillers, I am getting tough!

Oh no. I'm so sorry!!! I've had several hand injuries in the past couple of years, though minor ones compared to yours. Praying, praying, praying.
