A childhood friend of mine has been in an abusive marriage for 12 years and is finally leaving the situation. It has been a very long, hard road for her, but I am so proud of her for taking these steps toward living a life that is safe, for herself and her children.
If you would join me in praying for her, I would appreciate it so much.
Please pray that he does not get called into work this weekend, as that will throw her plans out the window.
Please pray for her safety and the safety of her children as they go through this difficult, and potentially dangerous transition.
Thank you so much! I am reaching out to everyone I can think of to pray for her, as this is a long time coming and I desperately hope she goes through with it. Her life with him is beyond words - she is so beaten down and broken, but with God's grace I know she can begin to heal, once she is safe from him.

So sad. I wish things like this didn't happen. His life will be much worse when she leaves, and he will then know what he has lost. So sad that something so final has to happen to wake some people up. Praying that all goes well.

Praying with empathy, from someone who's been in an abusive relationship in my younger years! In fact, it was 12 years ago that I got out! I will pray that many graces come to help her, as I have been so blessed with in my life! May Our Lord and Our Lady watch over, surround and protect her and her precious children, give her the strength to make these steps permanent, and soften the resolve of her husband to do any further harm and let them go. Praying, praying, praying! May Our Lord send her helping souls to assist just when she needs it throughout every step of this difficult time for her!

Thank you so much for your prayers!
I saw her today, and helped her by giving her a ride to deal with some of the legal items.
She seemed very at peace with the whole thing, which I take as a good sign. She has many people praying for her and I truly believe those prayers are lifting her up right now.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers! I am so grateful.
She did leave him yesterday and so far things have gone ok. There are still a lot of challenges, and so much healing to be done, but at least she is on the road to accomplish that healing now - for herself and her kids.
