Please pray for my niece who is also my goddaughter. She was admitted to the hospital yesterday with mono. She is on heavy meds, her throat is very swollen and on an IV. She may be able to go home on Monday. My brother, her father, has to do his Guard Duty this weekend. So please keep him and his wife in your prayers, too.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers. She is still in the hospital. Her fever is gone, but her throat is still very swollen. She cannot eat well and is still in pain. I ask you to continue to pray for her. She is beginning to realize that her schooling and athletics are going to Be affected by this. She's been taking extra classes at a local college and is an athlete. The doctors already told her that she won't be able to finish out the swim season. She's a sweet girl and has been very stoic, but still needs our prayers to get through this and deal with what's ahead.

She is home!!! She sounds much better, but still has an amazing amount of meds to finish. I believe your prayers have helped. Thank you so much! I love this girl!

My roomate in college got mono our Junior year. She had to drop out for the trimester and go home.    It was hard on both of us. We were both really sick at the time, I was never diagnosed with mono, but tonsillitis. I was sick--really sick--for 6 weeks until I finished exams and could go home and heal for a week.   

Anyway, I having lived through that ordeal my heart goes out to your god daughter.

Oh, the poor thing! I'm praying. One of my sisters had to take a semester, (or was it a year), off because of mono. It is extremely debilitating.
