Pray that both the voters and the candidates who will be elected to lead our country will allow themselves to be led by the Holy Spirit, with a respect for human life, religious liberty, and the dignity of each human person.

AMEN!!!!! Almost all of my Catholic friends and family are voting for Obama.  I have tried to discuss politely why Obama does not share our Catholic values, but I have been unable to change anyone's mind. I know that God has a plan and that we need to trust his plan. There have been times of persecution throughout history which God has allowed. I know he will give us the strength to withstand all persecution.

We prayed and prayed. But here in MN we also lost the amendment for one man and one woman. I just cried and cried this morning. Trying to trust God's plan but my heart is so heavy right now.

Our Lord still reigns over all of Heaven and earth! Increasing prayers for our nation! Christ, our Saviour and King, we place all our trust in Thee!
We can find great consolation and hope in the words from today's Office of Readings from The Liturgy of the Hours Office of Readings and in the Prayer of Azarias contained at the bottom of this post here.

After a long night of praying mixed with sleeping, I have found peace in this. Now all of my prayers are going to the conversion of Obama.
