Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know that these issues are minor compared to the crosses that many of you bear, but I am asking for prayers anyway. I keep your prayers in mind although I usually don't post about it.

I have just been diagnosed with asthma after suffering for a about 3 1/2 weeks (just after an emergency root canal). I am still not breathing well although I am okay. My oldest dd who has no insurance has pneumonia, and my youngest dd has bronchitis. Our finances, for reasons that no one really wants to hear about, are tighter than normal.

Please pray for us.

On the upside, my not-so-little autie is now at the easy reader stage, more or less, which is awesome. (His "word attack skills" are at 3.3 -- an increase of about two years in less than a year.) Please join us in thanking God.

In Christ,

I'm praying, Deborah! I'm thankful you were diagnosed so quickly; that will make things easier.

How lovely that your son is reading so well!
