My baby is making his First Communion on Sunday. I ask for prayers for him. And for me! It has been a long road to get to this point. I had to pull him (and myself and other son) out of our Parish School of Religion this year because of unresolved problems with teachers and materials used. It was a hard choice, but much prayed about and the right decision was made. Because of my choice we have been treated differently at church (not in a good way). He will be making his First Communion with the class at church and now I regret not having him do it alone on a different Sunday. I almost had a breakdown in church tonight while he practiced. So, please pray for me to enjoy this special day and to stop looking at all the hardship it took to get there. Deep down I am so happy for him and was proud of the faith he has. He has been ready for this day for a long time.

Praying! May the joy of the day and the graces received override any anxiety caused by behavioral issues on the part of others.

Oh, that sounds tough! May God grant you peace and confidence that you have done the right thing for your son. Praying his FHC goes smoothly and is a truly blessed and happy evening for you all.
