Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My house has been on the market for almost a year. Finally I got an offer, and it is signed by all. The buyers are moving from another country. . . 2 days after they signed the offer (in texas they then have 10 days of an "active option" period where they could back out and only lose a $400 option fee ) anyway it seems they put another offer out there, decided on ours and signed and now are having doubts so they signed that offer too! Now they have 2 contracts signed for 2 different houses (one mine)- while they figure out which one they like. Now I in the meantime put on offer on a house and they countered but when we found out the mess the buyers of my house put me in - we had to hold off on the offer of the house I like. Oh boy, I hope this all makes sense! It is so unfair for these people to do this - I can't pack, can't offer on a house, while I wait for them to make up their mind. These contracts protect the buyer not the seller - I am stuck now until they decide! They are even paying for inspections on both houses! Seems the husband likes mine and the wife likes the other! I told my realtor they need marital counseling!!!! I am so upset! I know God is in charge. . .

Please pray! I am afraid the house I like will sell to someone else!

Oh dear- what a mess! Praying that the Holy family will sort out lodgings for you. Praying also for your potential buyers... if they have offers on two houses, they must also be feeling very confused.

Thank you, I sit here waiting for the inspector to arrive. My kids and I are ready to spend the day out of the house while the buyers inspector is here (I have a large house so it will take him about 6 hours). The buyers agent has not given me the curtesy to tell me when to expect him! Even though my agent has asked her to give me an idea! I am not motivated to negotiate a thing with these people!

Oh Barb, hang in there. This whole process is so frustrating The disruption to family life is so bad and the desire to not negotiate when they are being unreasonable is strong. So many times people have made unreasonable requests to see our house and I want to scream at them, ARE YOU KIDDING?? We ask for 24 hours and you are giving us 2?!?!? Anyway, I will pray for you. Getting an offer, even in this situation is very exciting!

I have been thinking a lot about this and I just wanted to add that God will see to it that everything happens in the best way for your family. If the house you want is still available, great! However, if it sells in the meantime, God will lead you to another great house...maybe even a better one. Hand it over to God and rest in Him. I know...it is easier said than done. Our house has been on the market for a year and a half and we have owned 2 houses the whole time. We have sold it twice only to have the buyers not qualify for a loan. We also got a very lowball offer that we couldn't accept. I am praying in complete empathy.

Thanks kristinannie!

Very true. This deal did fall through so we are for sale again. My unique situation is I own this house with my ex husband! But God is still in charge - My ex makes things very difficult in many ways that I obviously can't go into here. . . I just need to pray God helps me tune out my ex's voice and continue to trust in God!
