my sister told me today it would take a miracle to change her husband's heart and I immediately thought of the slogan here. so can I ask you prayer warriors for help?

her husband left in Oct. and asked for a divorce in Nov. it is all going through so quickly (pretrial is next month with trial scheduled for March) that her head is spinning. she asked him yesterday to consider pausing the proceedings so they can at least try to reconnect. he promised to think about it. I am praying his heart may be softened to at least consider her request. (he attended two marriage counseling sessions when he first moved out but has said all along he just wanted a divorce.) they are both practicing Catholics and have been married 28 years, together for 30.

he has a very good heart but is in so much pain and just seems to have closed down. (back story: his father had died in Sept. and his mother in Nov. and my sister has had serious health problems for 6 years that she is finally coming out of, but he seems to have made up his mind several years ago. that is what she is asking for, that he takes a chance on the "new her.") please pray for an opening to his heart and comfort for my sister in however this plays out.

oh bless you for remembering, Janette! but no, my middle sister is the one with cancer, this is my oldest. (my middle sister is getting a second opinion today but has been continuing to homeschool before her chemo starts ... makes me inspired to keep going through a pesky cold! ) thanks again. the prayers here are such a comfort ...

Sending prayers! Marriages are so under attack today. I wish her husband could get some help. Losing both parents that quickly has to be very traumatic and it is definitely not the time to be making big life changes. I will offer up many prayers for this couple and for your other sister with cancer!

Sounds like your family is under attack from all sides, Viviane!      Still praying for both of your sisters and for all of you. May our Blessed Mother hold you all close, cover you with grace and intercede for you before her Son. And I totally understand the inspiration to continue when seeing what others have. I get that around here too.
