As I typed the title I realized I don't know what to call it: her uterus has been removed but that's where they found the cancer. And it's spread so what do you call it then? Sorry this is all new

I have asked for prayers for her before, when she had emergency surgery for a ruptured ovarian cyst and then the hysterectomy. So please bear with me as I beg for more since now the prognosis is back: stage 2 cancer. She'll need 5 months of chemotherapy. A full recovery is expected but please pray for her family as they process this news and prepare for the road ahead.

Thank you so much. Keeping all of your intentions close to my heart.

UPDATE: well, actually a correction. apparently she doesn't have uterine cancer, she has a rare form of ovarian cancer (adult granulosa cell). I know prayers work either way but I wanted to be accurate. and thank you all so much; she has been so encouraged by your prayers!

Oh gosh. What a very scary time. "Thankful" I suppose it's stage 2 and treatable but still a tough road ahead with the treatment. Prayers for everyone.

Jen, I appreciate your empathy and warning, and Megan, don't think so highly of me. hair feels like such a small thing to contribute, since I live too far away to be able to help with laundry, cooking, chemo visits and helping with her 4 DC. seems like all I can do is pray ... and come here for help.

thank you all, so very much, for remembering her in this busy time of year.

ETA: yes, we are so grateful she is "only" stage 2. and, as she told me yesterday, the only organ she lost (uterus) is one she's already done with and the next loss (hair) is something that will grow back. so, not too bad!
