Please pray for my friend, who is due with baby #5 in late January. Her husband is in the military and must start weeks and weeks of travel in February (he'll be gone 3-5 days per week, at least, through November 2012). They are asking for prayers for a safe delivery, healthy baby (it's a boy!) and, if possible, an on-time or early delivery so that Dad has as much time as possible to be with his newest son.
Please pray also for my friends who are moving to Utah to start a new civilian life after 20 years of military service. I've been privileged to teach some of their children in our co-op. They will be leaving one child in college in Maryland and a second daughter at an aspirancy (convent) school in Pennsylvania. They are happy about this new home, new job, etc., but it's a huge transition for everyone.
A third intention...my dd's best friend's family is preparing to sell their home and move to the western part of our state. Please pray for them; dd's friend's dad is looking for jobs in their prospective home town and they will have much to do once their home goes on the market. Dd's friend is very sad about all of this, too - please pray for her and for my dd, who's moved a few times herself and now needs to be the "movee" (her word, as opposed to "mover") and supportive friend.
Finally, please pray for my brother-in-law; my last conversation with him was very, very positive and I am hoping and praying that he'll continue to work hard on his relationships, spirituality and parenting skills. Many of you have been praying for my nieces, his daughters, for quite a long time, and I'm finally daring to hope that his love for his girls is truly the motivating force in his life. For the first time ever, I feel he'd be happy to know that families he has never met are praying for him...and that is the only Christmas gift I really need.
During this busy and joyful season, please know that I read all of your prayer requests and remember them daily. It's such a privilege to pray for everyone here and for all of your intentions!
