Hi all,
Could you please pray for a friend of ours? She is not due until early June, but went into labor yesterday. By late yesterday, they realized that labor was caused by an infection, possibly appendicitis but they don't know yet. So far the meds for stopping labor have not worked at all, so it looks like she will deliver in the next day or two. But they still want to identify the infection.
Please pray for her and her baby. Thanks so much.

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to update you on this prayer request. The friend is the wife of the man dh works with. Since dh was away for a long weekend, I had to wait until he returned for an update.
Good news to report. They were finally able to stop the pre-term labor and she returned home yesterday. I don't know the details, but I assume the infection was treated with success during her stay in the hospital. She is now on full bedrest, which will be difficult because she has a very active 2yo son too.
A good thing for her is that her husband works out of their home. A bad thing for my dh is that he works there too. He asked me to pray that they find someone to come into the house to help her each day, because they aren't getting much done with said 2yo running around without mom.

I have a final update on my friend. She delivered a healthy baby boy today. He was still slightly early, but about 8.5 lbs! Thanks so much for praying for this mom and baby. Your prayers are so wonderful!
