Hi Moms~

We have had a tricky time trying to find a home for our home school group's All Saints Day Party for the evening of Oct. 31st.

Finally, we found a home and were welcomed with open arms at my parish. As of yesterday, everything was going as planned.

My friend went in this morning to drop off our floor plan, only to find out that we have been kicked out of the only space available.

One of the school lunch ladies, who worked there a few years ago and served the children for almost a decade, died suddenly.

Her funeral is scheduled for 3pm with a reception to follow...in the cafeteria/parish hall...the only space available. Our party was to begin at 5pm.

We were not informed of this change at all. There is much confusion at the parish since the funeral and reception are not on the books and the secretaries could tell us nothing. The custodian and music director were the only people who knew anything. Father was not available.

They offered us another room in which they do after school care, but it's packed with toys/foosball tables/etc...and it is TINY. We have a bare minimum of 50 children...probably closer to 60-70 + 20 adults, give or take.

It is so last minute, that it is nearly impossible for us to find another location.

Please pray for our group. It is not so easy for us to go knocking on another parish's door asking for space...we need the Holy Spirit to help us out here. St. Jude and Simon, pray for us!
